Royal Tha Great was born in Harlem, NY. At age 2 he moved to Chicago, IL where he learned from the gritty streets that either you’re a pimp, gangsta, or dead or in jail by the time your 18. He survived but not before learning valuable lessons that those cold streets teach. Affiliated with the Gangsta Disciple Nation he was involved in everything from selling weed to breaking into homes, to even heated battles with rival gangs. In a city where Hip hop was not looked upon by the mainstream, he grew up listening to the likes of 2Pace, Nas, Jay-Z, and later Rick Ross & Young Jeezy. Royal Tha Great found himself in a battle for life or death. His single mother sent him to finish high school with his aunt & uncle in Orlando, FL. It was there that he started formulating his many thoughts and experience's onto paper and then later to the booth. In 2009 he decided to move back to NY for better job opportunities and to peruse his MUSIC CAREER

Fast forward 5 years later in 2014 and now after a slew of mix tapes he is set to release his debut EP/LP "Real, Rich, & Reckless.” With his mix of word play, country slang and NY vocabulary this MC makes being from Chicago a very different type, one that you haven't heard from since the introduction of Drill music with the likes of Chief Keef.
